About the Owner - Heritage Ascent
My passion for genealogy began with a personal story. My great-grandfather was adopted in the early 1900s, and his origins were a complete mystery to our family. My grandmother, in particular, was adamant that she wanted to "know where she came from," but after years of searching and a few failed attempts by professional researchers, her questions remained unanswered.

I set out on the journey to piece it all together myself. After earning my undergraduate degrees in Information Technology, I developed a systematic approach to research, using technology and data to solve complex puzzles. My pursuit of this family mystery ultimately led me to earn my graduate degree from Liberty University. Through this formal education, I further honed my skills in research methodology and historical analysis.

I was able to give my family those answers, but not before my grandmother passed away. This experience drives my commitment to every single client. It fuels my passion to help others uncover their ancestry with the kind of diligent, reliable research that exhausts all options.
